Sarfraz Ahmed appointed new Pakistan T20 captain

ISLAMABAD: Sarfraz Ahmed Wicket replaced Shahid Afridi as Twenty20 captain of Pakistan team.
Afridi resigned his captain position after Pakistan lost three of four group matches in the World Twenty20 tournament in India, but said he wanted to continue to play in the short format of international cricket.
"I spoke with Sarfraz this morning and tell him he was our natural choice for this position," said Chairman PCB Shaharyar Khan in a statement Tuesday.
"His appointment is opened. I wish him well in his new role. "
Ahmed, 28, has played in all four matches of the World Twenty20, but struck down the order throughout the tournament, despite a strike rate of 120.24 for the well 21 Twenty20 International.
Ahmed led gladiators Quetta in Pakistan, the first domestic Twenty20 professional league in February, before losing to Misbah-ul-Haq led Islamabad United in the final.
Pakistan can play three T20 International in the rest of 2016, one against England and two against the world champions West Indies. Former Rashid Latif test captain does not consider that this is sufficient to properly assess the ability of Ahmed as captain.
"The decision on the appointment of Ahmed is nothing more than the deterioration of the control circuit board," said Latif Associated Press.
"The Cricket Board is trying to put behind what happened in the World Twenty20, where we could win one group game against Bangladesh."
Latif said the PCB should also be replaced by ODI captain Azhar Ali and "bring to Sarfraz," for a drummer-office can get more experience as skipper on the international stage.
"Make the only Twenty20 captain is not enough," said Latif
