Shahid Afridi apologizes to nation over poor performance in WT20

Pakistan’s national cricket team Captain Shahid Afridi Wednesday apologized to the nation over the team’s performance in World T-20 tournament. In a video statement issued on a social media website, Afridi stated that he was sorry that the team’s performance was not up to par with the public’s expectations.

The team’s skipper added that the Pakistan’s cricket team was not just a squad of 11 players but rather a team of the entire nation.
Afridi stated that he had been playing for Pakistan for the past 20 years and went down to play in the field with emotions that mirrored those of the entire nation.
He stated that he was only addressing the Pakistan team’s fans, adding further that he was not concerned what anybody was thinking of him.
The T-20 Captian stated that he was disappointed that he was disappointed over the team’s dismissal from the World T-20 tournament.
With smashing televisions, burning bats and a rage that seemed to boil out of control, Pakistan’s passionate cricket fans were left in anguish once again, as Pakistan failed to perform in the tournament losing 3 of the matches against India, New Zealand and Australia while managing to secure only against Bangladesh.

India vs West Indies: Chris Gayle meets
Amitabh Bachchan; gets a special message
Amitabh Bachchan hosted West Indies batsman Chris Gayle with India set to face the Caribbean team in the semi-finals of ICC World T20 on Thursday. (Source: Instagram)
On one hand you have Andrew Flintoff asking ‘Who are you?’ to Amitabh Bachchan– however tongue in cheek – another big hitter of the ball, Chris Gayle, met Bachchan Sr. and had no problems in identifying him. With India set to take on West Indies in the semi-finals of the ICC World Twenty20 to be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday, both the teams are in the financial capital. Amitabh Bachchan has already been talked much about this tournament during the national anthem in the match against Pakistan followed by the ensuing controversy, then by having a subtle dig at Indian commentators and again on Sunday when he reacted to Andrew Flintoff’s comment on Virat Kohli and the comparison with Joe Root. Bachchan Sr hosted the West Indies opener and asked him to score a 100 but also make sure that India ends up on the winning end!

Kingsman 2 gets official title

The upcoming "Kingsman" The Secret Service 2" has been officially

named "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" and is set to release on

 June 16, 2017.

The upcoming “Kingsman: The Secret Service 2” has been officially named “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” and is set to release on June 16, 2017.
Taron Egerton is back as Eggsy who teams up with Kingsman’s American counterpart, The Statesman, after the British spy organization was destroyed in the first film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
A sneak peek at The Stateman’s headquarters is offered in one of the concept arts. One other artwork gives a glimpse at an underwater vehicle and the other picture shows Poppyland, the lair of the devilish character played by Julianne Moore.
“I didn’t know if I wanted to direct this or not. I was worried about the villain. Spy films are only as good as their villains. Then one morning I woke up with the whole storyline in place, and a new villain plot,” Matthew Vaughn said.
“You try not to read what people want, but they do want another church sequence. I have no reason for another massacre to happen. But I have other sequences you’ve never seen before.”
The anticipated action sequences are expected to include a skiing scene, a barroom scuffle, metal dogs and one-armed henchmen.
Halle Berry is expected to play a spy working for The Stateman while Mark Strong will reprise his role as Eggsy’s ally Merlin. It’s unclear whether or not Colin Firth will return as Eggsy’s mentor.

Cricket Hero Shane Watson Retirement From ICC

Shane Watson: has announced his retirement from international cricket, 14 years to the day after he first played for Australia. Watson had retired from Test cricket at the end of last year's Ashes tour of England, and he has not played ODIs since September last year; he will now officially depart from Australia's international setup at the end of the ongoing World Twenty20 in India.
Watson's retirement is effectively the final cutting of ties to Australia's dominant era of the early 2000s; he was the last remaining player turning out regularly in any format for Australia who had debuted before 2007, the year of the Warne-McGrath retirements. Watson has also confirmed that he is retiring from first-class cricket, having not played since the Ashes tour.

10 Burning Questions For WWE Raw (March 28)

Can anything save WrestleMania on the go-home Raw, or is this as good as it gets?

It’s been a long and winding Road to WrestleMania to get to this point, but we are just days away from WWE’s signature event, and anticipation is runnin’ mild. Seriously, is anyone seriously really looking forward to the current card? Sure, there will undoubtedly be good matches and it could be a very passable PPV, but this certainly is not “the biggest WrestleMania of all time.”
In some ways, WWE has been snakebitten this year when it comes to performers. We’ve seen a WrestleMania season decimated by injuries (John Cena, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, Sting, Cesaro). But we’ve also seen really poor and confusing booking, such as the Intercontinental Championship ladder match (which admittedly might be a good match) and the Shane McMahon/Undertaker bout.
All of that leaves us at the last stop on the Road to WrestleMania, WWE’s last-ditch effort to sell people on the PPV (and by extension, the WWE Network). How hard of a sell will the company put on for fans on Monday Night Raw? The card is pretty well established by now – for better or worse – so unless there’s a new wrinkle to throw into one of the bouts, this could be a sound-and-fury, status-quo episode of Raw. Sure, there might be a lot of stuff happening, but not much will be different at 11pm EST than it was at 8pm.
With that said, let’s take a look at the big questions that remain on the table and hopefully will be answered in some fashion on Monday night.
LAHORE: At least 69 people were killed and over 300 others injured in a deadly suicide explosion near the city’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park on Sunday, rescue and security officials said.
The suspected suicide attacker blew himself up in the parking space of the recreational park. A large number of people including women and children were present at the park due to weekly holiday.
Pakistan Army troops have been deployed as the park and surrounding area has been cordoned off by the security forces.
"At least 38 people were killed and more than 100 are injured," Mustansar Feroz, superintedent of police for the area had told Reuters earlier.
"Most of the dead and injured are women and children."
The blast occurred in the parking area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park, just outside the exit gate and a few feet (metres) away from children´s swings.
Eyewitnesses said they saw body parts strewn across the parking lot once the dust had settled. The park was particularly busy on Sunday evening due to the Easter holiday weekend.
"When the blast occurred, the flames were so high they reached above the trees and I saw bodies flying in the air," said Hasan Imran, 30, a resident who had come to Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park for a walk.
Salman Rafique, a health adviser for the Punjab provincial government, put the death toll at at least 60 people.
"There are more than 280 injured people," Rafique said. "Many are in operation theatres now being treated and we fear that the death toll may climb considerably."

Police said it was not yet clear whether the blast had been carried out by a suicide bomber or a remote-controlled devise.
