Shahid Afridi apologizes to nation over poor performance in WT20

Pakistan’s national cricket team Captain Shahid Afridi Wednesday apologized to the nation over the team’s performance in World T-20 tournament. In a video statement issued on a social media website, Afridi stated that he was sorry that the team’s performance was not up to par with the public’s expectations.

The team’s skipper added that the Pakistan’s cricket team was not just a squad of 11 players but rather a team of the entire nation.
Afridi stated that he had been playing for Pakistan for the past 20 years and went down to play in the field with emotions that mirrored those of the entire nation.
He stated that he was only addressing the Pakistan team’s fans, adding further that he was not concerned what anybody was thinking of him.
The T-20 Captian stated that he was disappointed that he was disappointed over the team’s dismissal from the World T-20 tournament.
With smashing televisions, burning bats and a rage that seemed to boil out of control, Pakistan’s passionate cricket fans were left in anguish once again, as Pakistan failed to perform in the tournament losing 3 of the matches against India, New Zealand and Australia while managing to secure only against Bangladesh.
