NEW DELHI: The Pakistan Joint Investigation Team reached National Investigation Agency to record statements of eye witnesses for the Pathankot Attack.
Key witnesses SP Gurdaspur, his cook and every jeweler Rajesh Warma has also reached the headquarters of the NIA to record their statements reported by the Indian media. The trio were kidnapped by terrorists and their vehicles were hijacked to get to the base.
India said Wednesday that the visit of a joint investigation team (JIT) of Pakistan has provided the documents and evidence from the Pathankot air base attack, according to NDTV. Indian officials said their investigation team will visit Pakistan in the near future.
According to the report, Pakistan has arrested several suspects in the case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) said after a meeting with five members of the Pakistani team, who came to investigate the case and visited the air base.
"The Pakistan team has revealed details of their research," said the head of the NIA Sharad Kumar, but added that details of the detention can not be separated at this stage because the information is running cost.
India should cooperate fully with Pakistan, which allows access to all the teams and evidence of attack in place in Pathankot. And it was the turn of Pakistan to share information about their investigation.
"Our discussions with Pakistan on the basis of reciprocity. The highlight process in Pakistan began today," said Sanjiv Singh, a lead agency. The evidence includes India together intercepted a phone call, and witness statements. The Pakistani team, including a member of the Inter-Services Intelligence, or ISI, were also allowed access to the airbase - step, repeating the terrorists and visit the area, which had a 80 hours Firefight with them.
Pakistan is not opposed to the evidence of India, presented earlier this week as part of how terrorists have infiltrated into India and the groups they belong to. Sources in Pakistan have told NDTV it is unclear whether the 47-year-old Azhar - mastermind of the terrorist attack at the base of the air in January - is still in Pakistan. Pakistani officials said earlier that he missed the country.
